Yet another iPhone 4 problem...

Postby joliver197 » Tue Jul 19, 2011 12:53 pm

So I HAD my iphone 4 paired correctly but it was not to last. Now I can not get my macbook pro to pair with my iphone for anything. Phone Amego says it is on and in range but when I dial I get an error. I tried all of the steps in http://www.sustworks.com/pa_guide/btConfig.html including removing the bluetooth file and restarting both the laptop and phone. I posted part of the log below. Does anybody have any ideas on how I can fix this?

The log shows the Open request to your phone timed out.

"On and In Range" means the Bluetooth stack has detected your phone is in range.

"Connected and Ready" means Phone Amego has successfully opened a connection to the HandsFree Service on your phone.

Phone Amego itself has little control over why the connection request is timing out or being refused. That's a Bluetooth issue. You might try the latest version on my website (1.3c2) if you haven't already. I updated Phone Amego to publish that it offers a Handsfree (headset) Service. The idea here is that when your phone receives the connection request, it can verify that it comes from a device that is offering the HandsFree service.

Kind Regards,

- Peter
