Cisco SCCP Support?

Any chance to support Cisco's / Selsius' SCCP (Skinny Call Control Protocol)? It's used for example by the Cisco IP Phone 79xx series. I was not able to use that with Phone Amego 1.4.17, tried some of the device types to no avail.

Hi Alex,

I don't have any plans to support SCCP directly at this time. Phone Amego does work with Asterisk PBX which supports SCCP, so that might be an option. I used PIAF (PBX In a Flash) for testing and found it fairly easy to install on an old Mac. Once your phones are working with Asterisk, Phone Amego can dial and get caller ID using AMI (Asterisk Management Interface).

Most IP phones are web enabled which means they can be controlled using standard web technologies (HTTP GET or POST commands). I recently saw the SPA508g and SPA525g can be dialed via HTTP POST and added support for that in Phone Amego 1.4.17 .

Kind Regards,
