I know that a question on another app might be unusual, however, I am still asking since I have not found a solution so far and it's about fully removing another app:

How can I remove 'Dial with Dialectic' in OS X, for example in Contacts.app? Since I decided to use Phone Amego, the 'Dialectic' option is rather annoying …

Contacts (previously know as Address Book) has a Plug-ins folder: ~/Library/Address Book Plug-ins

See if you can find the Plug-in there and remove it. Then relaunch Contacts.

Kind Regards,

Only Skype plugins is listed in ~/Library/Address Book Plug-ins. Do you know of other locations where such plugins could be located?

I believe the Dialectic plugin is baked in to Daylite itself. You'll need to ask MarketCircle about how to remove it, or search inside the application bundle.

It turns out that Daylite shows the 'Dial with Dialect' button in any case, whether Dialectic is installed or not …
