+ shown as %2B?

+ is shown as %2B on my phone's display, probably because the phone number (here +4179…) is sent to the phone as an URL. I am right that there isn't anything that can be done about that in Phone Amego?

Dialing works, so it's rather a cosmetic issue.

Phone Amego might have a general issue with special characters, the caller ID display is affected too:

In Contacts.app, the name is 'Jäger'.

Phone Amego expects UTF8 character encoding. You should be able to select this on your Yealink Phone.

OK, I'll check!

What's about the other issue (second posting above)? The name comes directly from the Address Book and/or Daylite.

UTF-8: I checked, there doesn't seem to be an option to change encoding of telephone numbers. I'll see if Yealink's support can help me.

Phone Amego has a Debug Log you can enable under the More tab to see the data exchange with your phone. What data does it show being received from your phone? I'm guessing they are URL encoded which might be a source of confusion. If you can show me the actual data received, I can verify whether it is being decoded properly.

Kind Regards,

- Peter
