Growl notifications of iPhone connecting/disconnecting

Hi,

I recently installed Phone Amego and I keep seeing Growl notifications about my iPhone connecting and disconnecting every minute or so. I believe the notifications are coming from Growl's built-in HardwareGrowler.

Does PhoneAmego's presence check cause a connect and disconnect or something that appears like that?

Nothing is showing up in the system.log or elsewhere indicating a problem.

Trevor

In order for Phone Amego to monitor for incoming Caller ID, it needs to be connected to your phone. If the connection closes for any reason, such as your phone moving out of range, Phone Amego will scan to see if your Phone is in range every 30 seconds or so and try to connect when it detects your phone has moved back in range.

Your phone should not be dropping the connection every minute if it isn't moving out of range. A possible cause might be interference from a nearby radio source such as an AirPort Base station, 2.4 GHz cordless phone, or some other radio device (including a microwave oven). I've written some Bluetooth troubleshooting tips here:

I would try to get to the bottom of why Bluetooth is not reliable in your environment.

Kind Regards,
