Help with Key Click Reduction Tips/Mods in B3 type organs.

Postby Donnieclark » Fri Dec 29, 2017 5:29 am

Hi,

I have a 1961 Hammond A-102 Organ that is 100% original and in near mint condition. I bought it several years ago at a thrift store for $500 and its a fabulous sounding piece. Haven't changed a single cap on it and it has had no issues thus far. However, it does have a LOT of key-click which I understand is normal for this vintage and is a great sound If I were just using it as a Jazz or Rock organ but most of the R&B and Soul players who come in to record on it are desiring less key-click.

Does anyone have any tips or mods to reduce the key-click and perhaps they might even be switchable so it could be returned to the stock sound?
Please help.
Thanks!

I didn't find the right solution from the Internet.
